Donald Wayman,
Jr.
May 4, 1965 – November 30, 2023
Donald Wayman Jr. 58, of Worcester, NY gained his wings on November 30, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center.
He was born May 4, 1965 in Cobleskill, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Burton) Wayman.
Depending on where you knew him from, he was known as Donny, Junior, Pugsley, or Don. He grew up in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Central School, class of 1983, and soon after in 1984 had his daughter, who was his pride and joy.
From high school Junior went on to work at SUNY Cobleskill for the next 34 years until he retired in 2020.
In his younger years, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping with his uncles and cousins and always getting into mischief.
There were many weekend trips with his family on the weekends to various zoos and Caroga Lake. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and four-wheeling. There were several weekends spent at Pugsley's Piggly Wiggly Fun Park doing such along with bonfires and pig roasts. There were also many moments spent at Summit Conservation Club where he was usually either in the kitchen doing dishes or shaking his butt on the dance floor.
As he got older his greatest moments were spent with his two granddaughters, daughter, and son-in-law going to Jack's for dinner or for trips for ice cream in the "vertible" among many other adventures. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his precious granddaughters the most. He also liked to drive his mustangs, go to car shows, and tinker with tractors. You would often see him sitting at Stewarts enjoying a cup of coffee with the boys.
Whenever someone was in need, he was always quick to help in any way that he could no matter who they were.
He is survived by his daughter Katherine (Katie) Rifenbark and Christopher (Chris) T. Rifenbark; and his granddaughters Cheyenne and Abbagail Rifenbark.
Per his wishes, a celebration of life will be announced at a later time. He will be laid to rest alongside his parents in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
