ONEONTA – Doris Eyelene Neice, 90, passed away August 6, 2018 at home.

She was born December 12, 1927 in Johnson City, the daughter of Floyd and Ethel (Bishop) Edwards.

Doris's journey has ended but her spirit will remain with us always. Doris was a woman of strength and love. Her family meant everything to her.  Her beautiful smile and sense of humor will never be forgotten.  She had an adventurous spirit from a safari in Africa to parasailing at the age of 85.  Doris had various interest from books, travel, computers and especially weddings.  She loved to make wedding's special either by making wedding cakes, floral arrangements or ornate cookies.

Doris was a wonderful mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Tripp and Doris M. Neice; great-granddaughters, Alexandra Leith and Brianna Finch; great-great granddaughters, Aubri Bucceri and Olivia Leith.

She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin Neice.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Paul Messner, officiating.

The interment will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 13, at the Vestal Hills Memorial Park, 3997 Vestal Road, Vestal.
