ALBANY – Dyane M. Simmons, 49, passed away April 18, 2016 at her home unexpectedly.

She was born April 5, 1967 in Oneonta.

She graduated from Oneonta High School, from University at Albany and received her Master's degree in Education from Russell Sage College.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth (Baldo) Simmons of Albany; her father, David and Patty Simmons of Cooperstown; her brother, Mark and Kat Simmons of Tennessee; her sister, Shahndra and Zach Lawyer of Oneonta; her grandmother, Ida Simmons; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her life long friend, Kelly Rogers of Schenevus.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with the Rev. David Mickiewicz, pastor at St. Mary's Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
