Schenevus – Earl Richards, Jr. 85, passed away with family by his side on June 4, 2022 at Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

He was born January 22, 1937 in East Springfield, the son of Earl and Catherine (Butts) Richards.

Earl worked for many years at Comerie's Plumbing & Heating in Sharon Springs. He was also employed at Otsego County as a maintenance supervisor.   He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Tucker Ermeti) Richards; children, Sherry (Jason) Spielberg, Diane (Eric) Richards-Aceto, Kelly (Mike) Richards-Stiles, Korey Richards, Joseph Ermeti, and Susan Primiano; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Virginia Stocking, Shirley Bemiss, and Nancy Burnside; many nieces and nephews; and Dorothy Gebbia, the mother of Sherry and Diane.

He was predeceased by two grandsons, Zebadiah Morris, the son of Diane Richards and Marty Morris, and Samuel Spielberg, the son of Sherry and Jason Spielberg; his brother, Arnold Richards, and Elizabeth Richards, the mother of Kelly and Korey.

Visitation will be Noon to the service at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, NY.  The Rev. Judith A. Thistle will be officiating.
