On October 15, 2006, Heaven called our loved one home, Earl C. Smith, our "Bud."

As a loving father of sons, Max, Donald, Douglass, and daughter, BettyLou, and proud grandfather of Matthew, Joseph, Samantha, Brandi, Cameron, Katrina, Aletha, Alexis, Ethan, Abigail and Regan, and great-granddaughter, Autumn; Earl's heart will forever shine as their "special" angel.

Earl's spirit will forever touch companion, Dolores Ferguson, and her family, Rodney, Timothy, David and Brenda.

Earl's soul will forever be illuminated with his special aunt, Bertha Smith; his brothers, Paul Smith, Raymond Sutton, and his sister, Marian Allmendinger.

We gather together as family and friends bonded by Earl's special presence in our lives. We celebrate his love and honor him in memoriam beginning at 6 p.m. with services to follow at 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
