Edward J. Parker

WORCESTER – Edward Joseph Parker, 82, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, after a long illness.

He was born June 17, 1924 in Schenectady, the son of Joseph and Stella (Trypaluk) Przybylski.

Ed was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II.

He married Dorothy M. Gutta on June 22, 1946 in Schenectady. She predeceased him in December 3, 2002.

Ed worked at General Electric Co. in Schenectady and Johnson City. He was a designer draftsman and retired after 42 years of employment.

Ed and his beloved wife, Dot traveled extensively with family and friends. He enjoyed reading, automobiles, aircraft and cooking. All of his endeavors were thoroughly researched with attention to detail.

He is survived by a son, David J. and his wife, Maureen Parker of Worcester; a daughter, Diane and her husband, Dennis Wasser or Richmond, VT; and three grandchildren, Caitlin Parker, Aubrey and Brendan Wasser. He was extremely proud of their accomplishments.

Friends may call at the E.J. Skinner Co., Funeral Chapel in Worcester on Saturday, August 19, 2006 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
