Egon W. Cording of Delhi, NY passed away on November 28, 2022.

Egon was born in Germany on January 5, 1940. In his youth he was an apprentice cabinet maker.  Egon left Germany when he was 18, emigrating to Canada before joining the United States Army to obtain his U.S. citizenship.  The Army stationed Egon back to Germany where he met his 1 ^st wife and the mother of his children Gurdren Naugle (nee Mittlestrass).

After his tour of duty ended, Egon grew a construction business in Elmwood Park, NJ where he raised his family. Egon discovered the Catskills in the late 1980's and fell in love with the region.  He moved there permanently in the early 1990's first to South Kortright before opening a woodworking shop in Delhi where he followed his passion of restoring furniture and creating with wood.

Egon is survived by his daughter, Caroline and her partner, Heather and his son, Christopher James and his wife, Eileen, along with his beloved grandchildren, Katherine, Jack, Erin and Bridget.
