MARYLAND, NY – Elaine M. Paisley, 80, passed away August 16, 2018 at her home.

She was born December 15, 1937 in Jamaica, the daughter of Kenneth and Anzonetta (Hunter) Paisley.

Elaine graduated from Vauxhall High School, and attended some college courses in Jamaica. She enjoyed playing many sports, but excelled in volleyball; receiving a scholarship to the United States, but declined.  Her 1st job was at Collins Photo Studio where she worked as a photographer. After that she became an entrepreneur owning a bar, restaurant, and grocery store.  She gave up her business and gave her life to Christ in Kingston where she attended Faith Cathedral Deliverance Centre104 Waltham Park Rd, Kingston, Jamaica and got baptize by Bishop Herald Blair.

In 2000 Elaine migrated to the United States to live with her daughter Authrine and grandchildren. She was over joyed to be reunited with her family.  She loved watching soccer with her grandson Shayne.  Elaine was a people person; she always liked meeting new people and helping those in need.  She enjoyed going to Flatbush SDA church, singing in the choir, admiring beautiful flowers, and watching Steve Harvey.

She is survived by six children, Annette Hinds, Anthony Stewart, Authrine Stewart Gordon, Angella Stewart, Lisa Stewart Moore and Dwayne Rohan Stewart; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; her brother, Clifford Binns, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Son-in-laws and Daughter-in-laws.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Keith Paisley.

The family will be receiving friends from 1 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist, 634 State Highway 205, Oneonta, NY.

The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta NY.
