Union Springs - Eleanor L. Beers, 91, formally of Norwich and Otego, passed away May 24, 2022 at The Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, NY.

She was born December 25, 1930 in Oneonta, the daughter of Patsy and Matilda (Martin) Delello. She was one of 13 children. Eleanor attended St Mary's School in Oneonta.

She married Leonard L. Beers on October 27, 1950. Eleanor retired after thirty-four years of serving as an inspector at Amphenol Corporation in Sidney. Following retirement Eleanor, Leonard and their partner William Bryden developed a Christmas tree farm in the Norwich area.

Heaven gained another Angel, if someone was in need, she was always there to share what she had to give.

Eleanor enjoyed bus tours, annual camping trips with family and friends to the Adirondacks and later to their camp on Cayuga Lake. Her outdoor adventures included turkey hunting and fishing and traveling the back roads looking for wildlife. Eleanor enjoyed cooking as well and the taste of her meatballs, wild turkey and blueberry pies will be remembered always.

Eleanor is survived by brother, Fred (Nancy) Delello of Oneonta; her brother-in-law, Ronald (Dorothy) Beers of Davenport; daughters and sons, Joan (Lyndon) Odell of Union Springs, Steven (Karen) Beers of Ovid, Diane (Ward ) Coe of Kirkwood, and Rodney Beers of Union Springs; grandchildren, Jennifer Pashley, Melissa (Jeff) Pinckney, Joanna (Matt) Munson and Brian (Summer) Odell, Jessica (Dave) Salt, Erik (Danna) Beers, Justin Beers, Timothy (Samantha) Beers; great grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew and Kathleen Pashley, Ryan, Nicholas and Sophia Pinckney, Caleb and Joshua Munson and William and Charles Odell, Riley, Coen, Braelynn and Landry Salt, Gia Beers and Giacomo Beers; great-great grandchild, Noah Andrew Pashley, and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Leonard L. Beers; siblings, Cecilia Delello, Bernice Mulkins, Martin Delello, Frances Walley, Esther Vandemark, Bernard Delello, Phyllis Delello, Patrick Delello, Joan Delello, Carole Maddalone and Martha Delello.

Calling hours will be from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday June 2, 2022 with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 PM at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with Rev. David Mickiewicz, officiating. Burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Otego.
