ONEONTA – Eleanora M. Vieweg, 91, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta.

Eleanora was born May 22, 1921 in Hastings, Michigan.

She married William E. Vieweg, Jr. on August 23, 1941 in Flint, MI. They were married for 34 years. He predeceased her December 2, 1975.

Eleanora is survived by her daughters, Linda Jane Vieweg of Oneonta, Sherra Lee Vieweg of Williamsburg, VA, and Marta Anne Reitema and husband, Gordon, of Clint, NY; grandchildren, Edwin Ford and wife, Staci, of VanBuren, AR, Lisa Bryant and husband, Jim, of Walls, MS, Leaha Hillis and husband, Scott, of Providence, Forge, VA, Paula Mieznikowski of Williamsburg, VA, Dusty VanBuren of Williamsburg, VA, Kurt Reitema and wife, Shannon, of Weedsport, NY, Michael Reitema and wife, Kim, of Akron, OH; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mildred Vieweg of Columbus, IN, niece, Connie Russell and husband, Robert; two nephews, Thomas Hopkins wife, Lee, and Lawrence Klipfer and wife Jackie.

She was employed at Hartwick College, Oneonta, for 34 years retiring on June 30, 1999.

Eleanora was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Oneonta.

The memorial service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with The Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Walton-Leavitt, officiating.

There will be no calling hours, and the burial will take place the Oneonta Plains Cemetery at a later date.
