Elizabeth J. "Betty" Mravlja, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Focus @ Otsego in Cooperstown.

Betty was born on June 10, 1939 in Richmond Hill, NY; the daughter of Charles and Mary (Okorn) Medved.

She married George P. Mravlja Sr. on August 12, 1967 at St. Joseph's Church in Worcester.

Betty worked at the family farm in Decatur, the U.S. Census Bureau and The American Red Cross blood mobile.

She was a past member of the Worcester Emergency Squad and Worcester Fire Auxillary.

Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Mravlja, her daughter Tina Schoeberl and her husband Jeff of Decatur, her son Peter Mravlja and his wife Kris of Decatur, her daughter-in-law Jodi Mravlja of Cherry Valley, her grandchildren Christopher (Katrine), Sandra, Nathaniel, Schuyler, Angel, Jacob and Elyza, her great-grandson Lane, a great-granddaughter due in March, her sister Helen McNichol, many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her son George Mravlja, 2 brothers Chuck and Ray Medved and 2 sisters, Sylvia Medved and Mary Huebner.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Joseph's Church, 201 Main Street in Worcester with the Rev. Paul Mijas as celebrant.

A calling hour will be held before mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street in Worcester.
