MARYLAND – Ellaner M. Hubbard, 81, went to be with the Lord, July 3, 2017.

She was born October 25, 1935 in Schenevus, the daughter of George and Jenella (Cole) Umbach.

Ellaner graduated from Andrew S. Draper School, Schenevus. She married Erwin S. Hubbard on July 13, 1955 in Maryland. He predeceased her April 18, 1988.

Ellaner was employed at the NYS DOT and Bassett Medical Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Schenevus.

She is survived by her children, Lois Hubbard and Roger (Cindy) Hubbard; grandchildren, Jared (Katherine), Corey (Holly) and Victoria; great grandchildren, James, Joseph and Zeke; her siblings, Marian Griffith, Shirley Rode, Victor Umbach and Imogene Boone; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours/visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 6 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 7 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Johnson, pastor at the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Maryland Cemetery.
