Ellen Ann (Rifenbark) Grotevant, 71, of Charlotteville, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Friday June 20, 2025 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

She was born July 12, 1953 in Fruitland, Maryland, the daughter of Horace and Evelyn (Hitchcok) Rifenbark.

She worked at Storyhouse till it closed, and was retired from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly (Frank) Wicker of Kannapolis, NC; her brother, Christopher Rifenbark of South Worcester; as well as her daughter, Jackie Grotevant of Fort Plain; her grandson, Ash (Renee) Moore; her great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Carole Hossbach.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m., July 26, 2025 at the Charlotteville Cemetery.
