ONEONTA - Eloise Goulette, 102, formerly a long time citizen of Oneonta, died at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie on September 17, 2015, where she had been residing since 2006.

She was born in Carbondale, PA on April 28, 1913, the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Jacobs Layman.

On May 10, 1932 in Oneonta, Eloise married Albert J. Goulette, Sr. Albert predeceased her on February 22, 1986.

Survivors include her son, Albert Jr. and wife, Noreen of Poughkeepsie; a daughter-in-law, Laticia of Endwell; six grandchildren, Michele Howard, Dianne Quinlan and Thomas Goulette, all of Red Hook, Richard Goulette, Jr., Robert Goulette and Karen Zielewicz, all of Endwell; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Richard and her brother, William Layman.

Eloise was a member of the First Baptist Church, St. Mary's Alter Rosary Society, and the VFW Post and American Legion Auxiliaries.

There will be no calling hours. The funeral service and interment will be private.
