Obituary

EAST WORCESTER – Emma M. Ball, 93 of East Worcester, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at home with her loving family surrounding her.

Emma was born in Fultonville on May 17, 1916, the daughter of Howard and Olive Borden.

She married Frederick C. Ball on December 24, 1934.

Emma was a homemaker and lived her life for her family, always putting them first. She was loved by her children and their families more than words could ever say. We will miss her terribly.

Emma is survived by her children, Gary Ball of Charlotteville, Kathleen VanHoesen (Charles) of Connecticut, Elizabeth Roseboom of Westford, Lucille Thomas (Richard) of Oneonta, Karolyn Pettison of Connecticut; son-in-law, Warren Jenkins of Florida.

Grandchildren, Cindy (Phil) White, Judith (Brian) All, Tracy (James) Odell, Allen "Bud" All, Lorraine (Paul) McLaughlin, Richard (Linda) Roseboom, Sherry (Duanne) Normandin, Gary F. Ball, Janet (John) Carey, Benjamin (Debbie) Roseboom, John (Kathleen) Roseboom, Allyson Lorrette.

Great-grandchildren, Brian, Jamie and Brandy White, Kari and Timothy Dresser, Matthew and Michael Odell, William "Billy" Rogenski and his father, William Rogenski, Ryan, Nicholas and Emma Roseboom, Kellshya Roseboom, Taylor and Corey Roseboom, Charlene McLaughlin, Kelly, Amber and Johnny Carey.

Also five great-great grandchildren, her nephews, Paul Borden, his son, Robert and family; Gordon Borden, his daughter, Theresa and family; niece, Francis (Robert) Wemple and her sister-in-law, Eleanor (Pete) Wood.

Emma was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Ball; daughter, Diane Jenkins, infant daughter, Claudia Jean; granddaughter, Barbara Ormsbe and great-granddaughter, Bianca White.

Emma's family would also like to mention how much they and Emma appreciated the many years of help and kindness given her by her caring neighbors, Freeland "Stub" and Bernice VanBuren.

She was also blessed to have such compassionate doctors, Dr. Carl Rule and Dr. Jennifer Rule.

Many thanks to Hospice for all of their help and support in keeping Emma at home. Special thanks to Laura, Eileen and Kelly, you made a big difference.

A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
