LAURENS – Ernest A. Scott, 67, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2007. He died at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.

Ernest was the son of Vernon and Gertrude Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Ernest, Sarah, Gordon, Thomas, Michael, Catherine and Peter; sisters, Evalina Brown and Freida Grattan; also half brothers, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved all of his special adopted family and close friends as well as his dog Charlie.

Calling hours will be held at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 5 p.m. to the memorial service time at 7 p.m., with the Reverend Frank MacCracken Jr., pastor at Word of Faith Christian Family Center, Maryland, officiating.
