ONEONTA – Ethel Liddell, 86, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at the Oneonta Nursing Home.

She was born August 22, 1920 in Jamaica, NY the daughter of Harold and Jessie (Baylis) Bainbridge.

She married William B. Liddell on December 31, 1941. He predeceased her on January 16, 2004.

She was an employee of the Oasis, Oneonta Country Club, Clyde Wright, and Rizzo Enterprises.

Mrs. Liddell is survived by a son, William and wife, Charlene Liddell of Oneonta and grandchildren, Brittany and BJ; a daughter, Karen and husband, John Babbitt of Morris and grandson, Sean; and son, Robert and wife, Mary Liddell of Oneonta and granddaughter, Heather and husband, Brian Fretwell of Greenville, TX, and a great grandson, Noah; grandson Thomas Stratton of Oneonta; step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Scott Fredenburg of Oneonta and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Harold Bainbridge.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta, with the Rev. John Grenier, the pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
