Oneonta - Florence I. " Flo" Nader, 93, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Otsego Manor.

She was born October 5, 1915 in Richfield Springs, the daughter of Lynn and Pearl (Lott) Conover.

Flo married Arthur G. Snyder who died in action during World War II. She then married Ferris A. Nader who predeceased her in May of 1979.

Flo moved to Oneonta in 1959. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta and was an avid bowler, NASCAR fan and crafter, she enjoyed flowers, reading, solving puzzles, but mainly spending time with her family.

Flo is survived by two daughters, Joan Taylor and her husband, Harold, of Maryland and Ferrissa Sheldon of Otego; a daughter-in-law, Maryanna Snyder of West Oneonta; grandchildren, Vaughn, Jody, Joan-Marie, Erin, Sarah, Kim, Katrina and Bruce; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Bruce A. Snyder; her sisters, Laura Lockwood Stone and Marion Wood; and her brothers, Jack Conover, Bob Conover and Junior Conover.


Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the funeral home with her nephew the Reverend Greg DeSalvatore of Amsterdam, officiating.

Interment will be at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
