Francis "Frank" Mravlja
ONEONTA – Francis "Frank" Mravlja, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta, after an extended illness.
He was born February 19, 1920 in Worcester, the son of Jacob and Mary (Steffins) Mravlja.
Frank was a life long resident of Worcester and Decatur, until his illness.
He married Beatrice Wamsley on November 6, 1976 in Walton.
He was a dairy farmer most of his life, and was also employed at Burton Enterprise in Cobleskill. He enjoyed working in his gardens.
Frank was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Mravlja of Oneonta; his children, Patrick B. Mravlja of Georgia, Jean P. Paquet of New York City, Peggy Christie of Howes Cave, Francis Steven Mravlja of Canajoharie, Mickie E. Shannon of Howes Cave, Richard Effner of Oneonta, Fran Dandeneau of Florida and Frank H. White of Otego; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Stella (Seniw) Mravlja in 1976.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 4, 2006 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
