WORCESTER – Freda M. Koncelik, 51, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at her home.
She was born October 1, 1957 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Harvey and Margaret (Parker) Schrom.
Freda was a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was always there for anyone who needed help.
She is survived by her son, Billy Jack Koncelik of Middletown; a daughter, Heather Koncelik of Worcester; a granddaughter, Tierney Koncelik of Worcester; her mother, Margaret Barton of Oregon; sisters, Gloria and John Munson, Golda Duncan, Johanna Schrom, Mary Loehr, Bridget DeGrunchy, Elaine and Jim Gaylor; brothers, Harvey and Lynda Schrom, and Burton Barton "J.R."; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father and a sister, Lola Mould.
Calling hours will be held at 3 p.m. to the service time at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Lawrence Russell, pastor of the Schenevus United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment at the Westford Cemetery will take place at a later time.
