Gary N. Ball Sr., 74, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 9, 1938 in Cobleskill, NY, the son of Fred and Emma (Borden) Ball.

Gary married Beverly Mae Terrell on August 2, 1958 in Northville. She predeceased him on September 1, 2001.

He served in the United States Navy. Gary worked for Burton's Enterprise in Cobleskill for 35 years.

He was a lifelong area resident whom was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed helping family and friends.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Cindy and husband, Phil White, Sharie Normandin and fiancée Michael Kent and Allyson Lorrette; his son, Gary Ball Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; his sisters, Elizabeth Roseboom, Lucille Thomas, Kathy VanHorszen and Caroline Patterson; his aunt, Eleanor Wood and his companion, Rose Yearry.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Diane and brother-in-law, Warren Jenkins and his great granddaughter, Bianca Wilcox.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Charlotteville Fire Department.

Burial will take place at the Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
