EAST WORCESTER, NY – Gary R. Bean, 66, passed into the presence of the Lord on March 1, 2016, at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.



He was born April 22, 1949 in Exeter, NH, the son of Marshall G. and Stella Elaine (Tait) Bean.



Gary grew up in East Kingston, NH and established Gary Bean & Son Mill Work Inc. in Kingston, NH. He and his wife, Diane bought a retirement home in East Worcester, NY in 2008 and he continued an extension of his mill work business in New York. Mill work was more than a job to Gary, it was his life's passion. In August of 2014 they moved permanently to East Worcester. Gary fell in love with the East Worcester area and the people that grew to become his family.



He is survived by his beloved family: his wife of 47 years, Diane (Daigneault) Bean of East Worcester, NY; his children, Julie and husband, Nick Wojtkowski of Nottingham, NH, and Christine Lambert of Kingston, NH; grandsons, Nicholas and wife, Diane Wojtkowski, Jacob Wojtkowski, Alan Lambert, and Andrew Lambert; great-grandchildren, Colby and Carly Wojtkowski; his mother, S. Elaine Bean of East Kingston, NH; siblings, Gerald and wife, Jay Bean, Judy and husband, Michael Lewis, and Larry and wife, Karen Bean; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.



He was predeceased by his father, Marshall G. Bean.



A celebration of Gary's life in New Hampshire and in New York will be announced.
