ONEONTA - Gerald Richard Finley, aged 78, passed away on August 17, 2023, in Oneonta, NY.

He was born on February 2, 1945.

Jerry worked as a carpenter at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown, NY. He was known for his attention to detail and love for all things related to woodworking. Jerry was an accomplished carpenter who took pride in his work.

Jerry was also an avid skier and a certified ski instructor. He loved playing golf and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Audrey Finley, and his siblings Richard Finley, Pat Fritts, and Barbara Finley.

He is survived by his brother, John Finley, and sister, Suzanne Fuson.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Plains Cemetery in Section 1 Park #25P. A reception for family and friends will be held at Pizzaland directly after the service.
