EAST WORCESTER – A graveside committal for Gerard Robert McGrath was solemnized by Rev. Paul R. Messner at the family plot in Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester on July 6, 2015.

Gerard was born in Brooklyn, and had resided at the Gage Family Homestead (Calcutta) East Worcester until July 4, 2015. The Homestead, with grist/sawmill on adjoining North Road, had been purchased by his grandparents George W. and Madge Bennett Gage in 1907. That year in Thanksgiving Eve his mother, Ina Gage was born in the Homestead.

Gerard is mourned by his sister, Arlene McGrath Bywater.
