WESTFORD – Giacomina "May" Poliseno, 93, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2006 at the Otsego Manor.
She was born September 5, 1913 the daughter of Gerald and Angela (Iacovelli) Desantis in New York City.
May married Vito Poliseno on December 6, 1936 in Brooklyn NY, he predeceased her in 1994.
May was a life long homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Worcester.
She is survived by her son, Joe and wife, Star of Westford; a daughter, Theresa and husband Andrew Caamano of North Carolina; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will take place 1:00 PM. Tuesday December 26, 2006 at the St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale NY; there will be no local services.
The family wishes to thank Father John P. Rosson of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Cooperstown, the staff of the Otsego Manor, Catskill Area Hospice, E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel and close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in loving memory of Giacomina to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
