Gina Colone Patton's Obituary
ONEONTA – Gina Colone Patton, 77, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 27, 1933 in Oneonta, the daughter of Philip and Pauline (Sabatini) Colone.
Gina was a 1952 graduate of Oneonta High School. She worked for the New York Telephone Co. for 20 years.
She married Martin R. Patton on November 23, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oneonta.
Mrs. Patton was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oneonta Women's Business Club and Telephone Pioneer Club
She enjoyed attending her gifted grandchildren's plays, recitals and sporting events. Always a healthy women she also enjoyed long walks with her husband and weekend getaways.
During the summer she worked at the Cooperstown All Star Village in Oneonta guiding guests and family members during their stay.
She is survived by her husband, Martin R. Patton Sr.; her children, Martin Patton Jr. and his wife, Brenda and stepsons, Eddie and Patrick Grace, and the late, Sean Grace; Cynthia Patton and fiancé, Joseph Marino; Paula and her husband, Allen Fassler and daughters, Alexandra and Vanessa; Patricia Bettiol, and her late husband, Eugene Bettiol Jr. and daughters, Carleigh and Brooke; Pamela Patton and son, Bradley; a sister, Mary and husband, Duane Hathaway; brothers, Philip and wife, Jeanette Colone, Arthur and wife, Denise Colone, John and wife, Marianne Colone and the late Herman and his wife, Eileen Colone; step-mother, Angelina Colone of Italy; a brother-in-law, the late Frank and his wife, Lorraine Patten; sisters-in-law, Agnes DeShaw, Dora and her late husband, Andy Colby and the late, Flora Patten; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Martin Patten and mother-in-law, Agnes Patten; nieces, Susan and Annette Colone and her step-mother, Maria Grazia Colone.
Mom you are an extraordinary and loving mother, we are all blessed and proud to be a part of your life.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51, Dietz St, Oneonta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Joseph Benintende, as celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery
