WORCESTER - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Gloria Jean McTaggart, age 78 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown on October 2, 2023.

Gloria Jean was born July 31, 1945 to Charles Cooper and Catherine Mae (Crewell) Cooper of Cobleskill.

She was a lifelong resident of New York and a graduate of Cobleskill School. Gloria Jean enjoyed many occupations in her lifetime, including healthcare, and most recently for CAS at SUNY Cobleskill where she would often talk about having breakfast with her fellow staff.

Gloria Jean had an immense love and compassion for animals. She took great joy in the care of her beloved dog Mickey and Grandbird Maya.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Mae Cooper of Vermont; sister, Bonnie M. French of Worcester; brother, Karlton Cooper of Cobleskill; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Services for Gloria Jean will be held 1:00 PM Friday the 13th 2023 at Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street in Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Women's Cancer Care Associates at Saint Peters Hospital, 317 South Manning Blvd., Suite 100, Albany, NY 12208.
