Harriet M. Force's Obituary
WORCESTER – Harriet M. Force, 77, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, April, 16, 2009 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
She was born April 14, 1932 in High Bridge, NJ, the daughter of Edgar and Elsie (Young) Force.
Harriet worked at Prown's Store in Red Bank, NJ for 47 years. While living in New Jersey she was an active member of the Bible Baptist Church, now the Cross Point Baptist Church.
In 2004 she moved to Worcester and was a member of the Worcester United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's and the Friendship Club. She enjoyed crafts and making prayer shawls for the church.
Harriet is survived by her brother, Melvin Force and his fiancée, Geraldine Roe of Worcester; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Edgar Leroy Force.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Worcester United Methodist Church from 1 p.m. to the service time at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jane Pykus, officiating.
A committal service will at 10 a.m., April 20, 2009 at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum in Tinton Falls, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Main St., Worcester, NY 12197 or to the Cross Point Baptist Church, 462 Squankum and Yellow Brook Road, Farmingdale, NJ 07727.
