Schenevus – Hartley W. "Bill" Hunter, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Otsego Manor.
Bill was born in Albany, July 25, 1935, the son of Thomas and Pearl (Tallman) Hunter.
Bill and Patricia Currie were married In Albany, June 28, 1958.
Bill worked two full time jobs for more than 30 years. He was a warehouseman for the State University of New York in Albany and a Security Officer for a number of companies in the Capital District.
Bill and Pat moved to the Schenevus area in the early seventies.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed antique cars, car shows, building model cars and the joy of spending time with family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pat; four sons, Eugene and Heather, William and Therese, Daniel and Terry, James and Sarah; two daughters, Meranda and Rich and Candice; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald and Joyce; two sisters, Paulette Krzykowski, Donnalle and Frank Landers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call at the Heller Funeral Home Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Schenevus from 4 to 6 p.m. with the funeral service at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, Chaplain at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.
At Bill's request he will be cremated. Interment with take place a later date in the Schenevus Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
