Hayward Leo Watson, 57, of Charlotteville, passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at his residence.
He was born on July 11, 1949 in Tabor City, N.C.; the son of Haywood Lee and Willa Mae (Cannon) Watson.
Leo married Deborah A. Mitchell on April 15, 1978 in Cobleskill.
He has been an area resident for over 30 years and has worked for the Harva Company in Schoharie for the past twenty years.
Leo loved hunting, fishing and camping and was a member of the Charlotteville Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Watson of Charlotteville; a daughter, Roxanne Watson of Charlotteville; two sons, Christopher and Eric Watson of Charlotteville; two sisters, Sandra Arnold of Spartanburg, SC and Joyce (Faye) Tucker of Newberry, SC; 5 brothers, David Watson, Gene Ray Watson, Sammy Watson all of Enoree, SC, Jackie Watson of Spartanburg, SC, Donald (Bo) Watson of Middleburgh, NY and Billy Joe Watson of Fultonham, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister Rachel Schrom and his step-father Herman Fipps.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main St., Worcester with the Rev. Grant L. Smith, pastor of the First Summit Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Charlotteville Cemetery.
