WORCESTER - Hazel M. Silvernail, 92, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Otsego Manor in Cooperstown.

Hazel was born June 24, 1914, the daughter of the late Emma Reed and Milton Hallock.

She married Fred Silvernail in 1932. He predeceased her in 1993.

Hazel attended the old Davenport School in Davenport.

She was a member of the Worcester United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife and mother. She loved cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Also, Hazel and her husband enjoyed going to area square dancing.

Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn and Robert Basola of Worcester; two granddaughters, Sharon Chew of Clifton Park and Lorraine Neff of Gaitherburg, Maryland; five great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Arline Silvernail of Schenectady.

She was predeceased by two sons, Earle Silvernail and Richard Silvernail.

Calling hours will be Monday, May 14, 2007 from 1 p.m. to the service time at 2 p.m., at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, Worcester, with the Rev. Jane Pykus, pastor of the Worcester United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.

Hazel's family would like to thank the many people at Otsego Manor and Catskill Area Hospice, who went out of their way and beyond the call of duty to make her stay as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
