Otego – Heather Lee Jones, 47, passed away at home on February 9, 2024 after a long battle of complications from Type 1 Diabetes.

She was born on January 29, 1977 in Cooperstown.  Heather graduated from Oneonta High School.

She is survived by her beloved son, who was her everything, Seth Berge and Kathleen Lapine of Otego; her parents, George and Tracie (Georgia) Jones of Oneonta; brothers, Jasin Jones of Oneonta, Michael Jones and Candice Evans of Florida and David and Kerensa Jones of West Oneonta; niece and nephews, Korbin, Wyatt and Gracelen Jones of West Oneonta; grandmothers, Marianna Creighton of North Carolina and Charlotte Georgia of West Oneonta; and her faithful canine companion, Ace.

Heather was predeceased by her grandfather, Wayne Georgia.

A celebration of life will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 18, at the Sixth Ward Athletic Club, 22 West Broadway, Oneonta, NY.
