SUMMIT – Helen M. Clement, 84, passed away March 22, 2017 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.
She was born July 21, 1932 in Hicksville, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Mele) Laterza.
Helen grew up on Long Island. She moved to the area close to 40 years ago. Many people will remember her from BBQ's restaurant in Cobleskill. The love of her life were her children and grandchildren, always coming first. Helen enjoyed going to the Casinos and Horse Races.
She is survived by her lifelong loving companion, Joseph Furnell of Summit; three daughters, Dianna and husband, Stephen Howard of Virginia, Toni Newhoff of Worcester, and Victoria Young of East Worcester; a son, Andrew and wife, Christine Clement of East Worcester; grandchildren, Vanessa, Corey, Sabrina, Brian, Ian, Krystal, and Andrew "AJ"; a great-grandson, Tyler; a sister, Connie Munden of Lumberton, NC; great-grandniece, Nikki and great-grandnephew, Michael; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Laterza and a sister, Josephine Estro.
Calling hours will be Monday, March 27, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. with the Memorial service at 4 p.m., at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester. The Rev. John P. Rosson, pastor at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cooperstown will be officiating.
