Helen was born on October 14, 1939 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Antonio and Mary Fuschetto. Helen is survived by her sister, Ann and her brother, John.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Oneonta, 12 Ford Avenue, Oneonta. If anyone has any stories about Helen that they would like to share, they are most welcome and encouraged to do so. There will be live and recorded music and the Rev. Craig Schwalenberg will also speak.
Helen's wishes were that she be cremated and her ashes placed in a niche in the Columbarium at the Buddhist Karme Ling Retreat Center at 315 Retreat Road, Delhi. Her ashes will be interred at the Karme Ling Center during a ceremony on May 17, 2011. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Helen's artistic talents were obvious to anyone who crossed her path. She was equally talented in painting, woodcuts, dioramas, drawings, dried flower pictures, and jewelry designing.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Helen's memory to the following charities; The Best Friends Animal Society (www.bestfriends.org) or the ASPCA (www.aspca.org) or any other charity that takes care of cats, Helen's favorite animal in the world.
