Henry "Gege"
J. Carrasco Sr.
February 2, 1961 – March 21, 2023
Worcester – Henry "Gege" J. Carrasco Sr. passed away at home unexpectedly on March 21, 2023.
He was born February 2, 1961 in Brooklyn the son of Alicia and Walter Baldwin and was raised in West Brighton, New York.
At the age of 18, Gege married Marie Perkert on October 25, 1980 at Mount Carmel Church in Staten Island. The two became inseparable.
In 1989 one of the best decisions they made was to move their family to Worcester, New York. A union carpenter by trade, in 1991 Henry started Father & Son Custom Design Carpentry with his father, Walter. Later on, his son, Henry Jr. joined the business, which brought Henry Sr. much pride. Henry Sr.'s skill and perfectionism made his carpentry well-respected and sought after.
He was a member of the Schenevus Valley Masonic Lodge, a brotherhood he took great pride in. He enjoyed helping others and being a part of this organization.
Henry was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed animals and astronomy. He loved music and over the years played the bass guitar and sang in several bands both downstate and here locally. He also wrote several songs.
Above all his greatest accomplishment was his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved being a goofball with them and was their biggest toy to play with.
He is survived by the love of his life Marie; their beloved children, Athena (Justin) Frost, Enrique "Henry" (Meghan) Carrasco and Christina (Andrew) Serdy; grandchildren Justin and Isabella Frost, Ella and Samuel Carrasco and Adilyn and Cyrus Serdy; his siblings Robert (Carlene) Baldwin, Margie (Geno) Soehngen, Joseph (Nancy) Carrasco; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Francisco Carrasco II and his wife Nancy.
Visitation will take place 11 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, March 26 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, NY. There will be a Masonic Service starting at 1 PM followed by a time to share remembrances.
