ONEONTA — Herbert J. Fritsch passed away at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center on Monday, April 14, 2014, with his wife by his side.

Herbert was born May 17, 1948, the son of Herbert J. Fritsch Sr. and Aleata ( Hilton ) Fritsch.

Herbert proudly served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1978.

Herb worked as a self- employed printed circuit board designer for many major companies in various states.

Herbert is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandie Sapienza Fritsch; daughters, Aleata (Matt) Ruland of Elmira , Eva Bailey of Corning, and Erica Shields of Oldsmar , Fla.; his grandchildren, Alyssa Ruland and Jordan Bailey; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cliff and Grace Barker.

A time of sharing, fellowship and refreshment will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Peaceful Flats Clubhouse on Community Drive in Oneonta.
