Davenport - Herman H. Mahler, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the A.O Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.



He was born March 21, 1927 in Queens, NY; the son of Herman G. and Amelia A. (Graw) Mahler.



Herman served in the United States Army in Germany during World War II.



He was a long time member of the Davenport Fire Department.



Herman is survived by his 3 sons, Michael, Patrick and Gerard; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 brother.



He was predeceased by his wife Mary on November 8, 2004.



At Herman's request, there will be no calling hours.
