GRAND GORGE – Howard L. Bindman, 62, passed away suddenly Friday, November 25, 2011 at Margaretville Hospital.
He was born August 18, 1949 in Bronx, the son of David and Tobie (Abramowitz) Bindman.
Howard's life focus was to share the good news of God's Kingdom to all that would listen. He loved taking care of his wife and spending time with his family. He was also known by all to be a positive encouragement and will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lorraine Bindman; his brother Steven Bindman; his sister, Eve Bindman; his children, Lillian Washington, Raymond Chow, Sr., Mary Durant, and Alane Rohrbacher; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Mitchell Lee Bindman.
Calling hours/viewing will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
The Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 3985 State Highway 23, Oneonta, with Daniel Bland, officiating.
