Obituary

Worcester – Hunter T. Hornbeck passed away doing what he loved on August 27, 2021.

He was born February 21, 2014 in Cooperstown, the son of Jason T. and Hanna (Fingado) Hornbeck.

Hunter, our ray of sunshine, was the life of the party. He brought joy to everyone he passed by. He would wave at complete strangers and make them smile. He was happiest when he was outdoors, always with his shoes off and getting his feet dirty. Hunter was a little explorer who loved fishing, hunting and anything with an engine. He loved to hike out to the mud pit with his sister and play, mostly to throw mud at her. Hunter also enjoyed building forts with his sister, mowing the lawn, gator rides with Grammy, and Jeep rides with Papa to get ice cream. Hunter was quite the charmer and always out picking flowers for his mom, and his favorite bus driver, Mrs. Tuthill. Hunter was looking forward to joining his buddies and schoolmates in the second grade at Worcester Central School.

He is survived by his parents, Jason and Hanna Hornbeck; his older sister, Savannah Hornbeck; his grandparents, Tom and Pat Hornbeck, Harvey Fingado and Susan Zindle; great-grandmothers, Annamay Lasher and Pansy Thomas; as well as his many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his 2 dogs and side-kicks Scout and Sierra.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. with the funeral starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the United Methodist Church, 111 Main St., Worcester. Please wear your favorite play clothes, blue, green or camo in honor of Huntie.  Mask will be required.
