Davenport – Jack E. Turner, 85, passed away on October 29, 2026, at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. 

He was born March 29, 1941, in Cooperstown, the son of George H. and Luella May (Bouton) Turner. 

On September 24, 1961, he married Nancy McMann at the Edmeston Methodist Church. She predeceased him on March 17, 2026. 

Early on, he worked on the Clark Estate, continued on to farming, and then worked for over 30 years at Central Asphalt in West Oneonta until retiring at the age of 70. He enjoyed playing his guitar and was an avid hunter. 

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Mark) Cronin, and twins Cindy Turner and Mindy Turner; his granddaughter, Jacqueline Christophersen; his great-grandchildren, Timmy and Paisley Christophersen; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Marion Fritts, Dorothy King, Mary Frances Turner, Shirley Record, Helen Rhyde, Violet Moshier, George C. Turner, and Robert Byron Turner. 

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2026, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Mary Jo Koehler officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, NY.
