Obituary

MARYLAND – Jacqueline H. Balbuena, 62, went to be with the Lord, on January 15, 2009.


She was born March 4, 1946 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Willet and Flora J. (Cooper) Silvernail.



Jackie married Felipe V. Balbuena on April 12, 1974 in Schenevus.



She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta.



Jackie was devoted to her family especially her beloved grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.



She is survived by her husband, Felipe Balbuena of Maryland; a daughter, Beth Kilts of Hartwick; sons, Jonathan Balbuena (Virginia) of Wilmington, NC, Christopher Balbuena (Sabrina) of Albany and Michael Balbuena (Teri) of Franklin; six grandchildren, Jennifer Winn, Nathan and Ryan Hitchcock, Taylor and Reese Balbuena and Rylee Balbuena; three great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Juliana and Jada Winn; a sister, Norma Allen of Castle Creek; a brother, Victor Silvernail of Oneonta and several nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by her brother, Marshall Silvernail.



Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta.



The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2009 at the funeral home, with the Gary Bonebrake, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, officiating.



Interment will be at the Milford Cemetery at a later date.
