OTEGO – James Sullivan Sr., 58, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
He was born January 22, 1949 in Brooklyn, the son of Harry and Florence (Downs) Sullivan.
Jim married Geraldine Kulubis on Long Island in 1968.
He retired from JFK Airport in New York, where he worked for many years. Jim and wife have resided in Otego for the past 7 ½ years. He was currently working as a security guard at the Oneonta High School.
Jim was a good friend, an avid hunter and was known by his friends as "MacGyver".
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Sullivan of Otego; a son, James Jr. and his wife, Lora Sullivan and their sons, Jake and Sean, of Asbury, NJ; a daughter, Diana Sullivan of Pottstown, PA; a brother-in-law, John Kulubis and his son, James; and a sister-in-law, Helen Grella and her daughter, Candace.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 11 a.m. to the Vigil Service time at 12:30 p.m. at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta.
