SCHENEVUS - Janet M. Cornell, 57, of Schenevus passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006 at her residence.

She was born on January 17, 1949 in Cobleskill, the daughter of Kenneth and Vivian (Graig) Cohn.

Janet previously lived in Georgia for 14 years. Lately she was a resident of Worcester and Schenevus.

Janet received her beautician's license in 1973 and received an associate's degree from SUNY Cobleskill in 1995.

She was a waitress at the Otesaga Hotel, Howard Johnson's and the Neptune Diner. Janet also worked at the Schenevus Central School as an aide, Schenevus Quickway and most recently at Bassett Healthcare as a Histo Technologist.

She was a member of the Worcester United Methodist Church.

Janet loved to cook, read and care for children especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Tina and her husband, Wayne Shulgay of Schenevus, Candice and her husband, James Hunter of Schenevus, Nicole and Kristi Gallup of Schenevus and Richard M. Cornell III and his wife, Candis of Texas; her significant other, Lew Osborne of Schenevus; grandchildren, Corey Gallup, Carson Shulgay, Joshua and Chelsea Hunter, Courtney, Tyler and Sarah Platt, Titus and Catelynn Gallup-Frishcosy; 2 brothers, Alan K. Cohn and Michael J. and his wife Teresa Cohn all from Blythe, Ga; a sister-in-law, Amelia Cohn of Blythe, Ga and several nieces,nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother Nathan O. Cohn.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Worcester United Methodist Church, Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Jane Pykus officiating.
Burial will follow at the Schenevus Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch St., Schenevus.
