SCHENEVUS – Janet L. Krueger, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

She was born on August 5, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Margaret Voss-Jindella and her step-father, Joe Jindella.

Janet was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.

She married Kurt A. Krueger, Sr. on October 22, 1955 in New Jersey. Moving from New Jersey, Janet (and family) has been an area resident of Schenevus for 30 plus years.

Janet had been enjoying her retired life. She was retired from Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville. Previously she worked in the family owned and operated business A&K in Schenevus.

Janet enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the Young at Heart and a past member of the Schenevus-Maryland Ladies Auxiliary.

Janet enjoyed playing word search puzzles, playing card games, camping, bird watching and tending to her flower gardens.

Survivors are her husband of 56 years, Kurt A. Krueger, Sr. of Schenevus; children, Linda Andreoli of New Jersey, daughter-in-law, Jean Krueger of Schenevus, Barbara Krueger of North Carolina, Anthony Krueger of New Jersey, Carol Krueger of Schenevus and Janet (Eric) Kitchens of Schenevus; grandchildren, Gina and Phillip Andreoli, Justin (Christy) Krueger, Elise Krueger, Toni-Ann, Anthony and Michael Krueger; step-grandchildren, Nicole, Adrianne and Trevor; a sister, Joan (Ron) Keller of Arizona; step-brothers, Kurt (Jan) Jindella of Massachusetts, and Joe (Sherry) Jindella of St. Louis, MO; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved Saint Bernards, Hope and Ida.

She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Kurt A. Krueger, Jr.; her mother-in-law, Mary Krueger and father-in-law, Harry Krueger.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, chaplain at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, officiating.

The committal service will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Schenevus Cemetery.
