Janet H. Stanton's Obituary
ONEONTA – Janet H. Stanton, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at The Otsego Manor.
She was born August 1, 1915 in Paisley, Scotland, the daughter of William and Janet (Simpson) Hughes.
Janet immigrated to the United States in February of 1926. She was a graduate of Oneonta High School, Class of 1934.
She married Leonard Stanton on August 3, 1934. He predeceased her on September 22, 1960.
She is survived by her children, Nancy J. and her husband, John Chicorelli of Oneonta, Lenda J. and her husband, Kenneth Turner of Carbondale, PA, William H. and his wife, Maryann Stanton of Margaretville, Alice L. Stanton of Oneonta and Scott P. and his wife, Kathleen Stanton of Oneonta; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff at The Otsego Manor for your many years of kindness, caring and friendship you gave Janet.
A private graveside service will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta at the convenience of the family.
