Jason Shane Hudgins, 53, passed away at his home in Scott, LA on August 18, 2026.

He was born June 13, 1973 in Scranton, PA, the son of Jobie S. Hudgins Sr. and Barbara Meyer.

Jason “Rooster” moved around with his family in his early childhood, eventually settling in Charlotteville, NY, and more recently resided in Louisiana with his younger children.

He is survived by his children, Aurora Hudgins, Caleb Hudgins, Shaelyn Godeaux, Ariana Hudgins, and Jordan Hudgins; the mother of his two older children, Stacy Schriver; the mother of his three younger children, Kathryn Godeaux; his granddaughter, Thalia Hogan; his father, Jobie S. Hudgins Sr.; and his brother, Jobie S. Hudgins Jr. “JJ”.

He was predeceased by his son, Skyler Hudgins, and his mother, Barbara Meyer.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2026 at the Charlotteville Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and share a fond memory of Jason.
