Jean D. Collins' Obituary
ONEONTA – Jean D. Collins, 84, passed away peacefully at home with her husband and beloved dogs by her side on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
She was born November 30, 1927 in Gloversville, the daughter of Lewis and Rosalie (Judway) Duham.
She married Richard L. Collins on July 15, 1950 in Glen Cove, NY
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Collins, Sr. of Oneonta; her son, Richard L. Collins, Jr. and wife Jeanne Hebbard; and granddaughters, Callie Pierce Bladow and Rachel Collins.
Mrs. Collins was predeceased by her daughter, Janine in May of 2009 and her brother, James Dunham.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery, with the Rev. Teressa Sivers, pastor at the First United Methodist Church, Oneonta, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY 13820 or to the SSPCA, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, NY 13328.
A heartfelt thank you to the Catskill Area Hospice for your sensitive and extraordinary care given to Jean during her time of need.
