Jeffrey Paul Moshier, 74, passed peacefully on February 26, 2025 at his home in Schenevus, NY.
He was born November 26, 1950 in Rockville Centre, NY. He grew up in Kings Park, NY as the oldest of ten brothers and sisters.
Jeffrey joined the United States Navy in December of 1969 and was honorably discharged on April 8, 1971. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Jeffrey worked as a carpenter and handyman for much of his career. He loved nature and was an avid hunter and known as the hunter of the family. One of his nephews commented "Uncle Jeffrey killed more deer than a UPS truck."
Jeffrey loved being in the mountains and settled in the town of Schenevus in upstate New York where he made many friends. Jeffrey was a kind soul and always stayed connected with his heartfelt Christmas cards. He was also an avid reader, alien enthusiast, spontaneous belly dancer and creator of "stinky pegs".
His wishes were to be cremated and will be buried at Calverton National Cemetery on a date to be determined.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise; four siblings and one niece, Pauline Dalton, Keith Moshier, Susan Foster, Mark Moshier and Amy Dalton.
He is survived by his siblings, Gary (Jennifer), Gregory (Eleanora), Donna (Louis), John Jr., Bruce (Stacey), and half-brother, Joseph. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, as well as ten grandnieces and grandnephews.
