ONEONTA - Joan DiMartin passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.

Joan was born August 9, 1930 in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of Lawrence and Beatrice (Perry) Smith.

Joan attended Oneonta schools, graduating from OHS in 1948. After graduation she was employed by the NYS Health Department for several years. Joan attended St. Mary's Catholic Church and was married there on July 5, 1953 to Richard DiMartin. Richard predeceased her on December 12, 2019.

Joan is survived by her sons, Dennis (Renee) and Thomas (Barbara); grandchildren, Kristina Brady (Judson), Jennifer Perkins (Jason), Douglas, Theresa and Maria DiMartin; great-grandchildren, Jackson Brady and Tanner Perkins and brother-in-law, Otto Huhta.

Joan was predeceased by her sister, Marie Huhta and brother, Richard Smith.

At Joan's request there will be no calling hours. A service will be held at the convenience of the family.
