Schenectady - JoAnn Bellinger, 70, passed away July 17, 2022 in Decatur.

She was born March 3, 1952 in Oneonta, the daughter of Carlyle and Laura (Banker) Ives.

JoAnn graduated from Worcester Central School. She then went on to be a court stenographer, worked at Inter Knitting and also received a degree in early childhood development and was an elementary school teacher. She retired from the United States Postal Service in Albany after 25 years of employment.

She is survived by her sons, Peter (Rhonda) Bellinger of Decatur and Timothy Bellinger of Schenectady; granddaughters Casandra and Mariska; her siblings, Stephen (Barbara) Ives of Worcester and Nancy Ives of Schenectady; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Leah Knapp and Tracy Ives.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday September 30 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester with the Rev. Judith Thistle officiating.
